Food Pantry
The Vernon United Methodist Church Food Pantry provides food and personal care items to people in need in Sussex County. Our goal is to benefit all community members whenever and wherever we can. This highly practical ministry gives real support to families in need.
The pantry is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9:30am – 12:30pm.
Donations are gladly accepted during our regular hours (Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am – 12:30pm) . Non-perishable foods can be left in the basket in the narthex or the barrel in fellowship hall at any time the church is open. Please check with the church office before leaving donations at other times. Please do not leave donations outside when no one is at church. Thank you and God Bless.
Clothing Ministry
Maximize your budget in our clothing ministry. Fill a grocery bag with items from our inventory for just $3. This resource is available for anyone in need. Clothing is swapped out seasonally, and you can always find a little something for you or your family.
Donations

Items Accepted
- Gently used, clothing, accessories or shoes in good condition, appropriate to the season, as we do not have room to store out-of-season clothing

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept any of the following:
- Appliances, large or small
- Furniture
- Dirty or damaged clothing, bedding, or toys
- Baby furniture, cribs or car seats
